HOW THE TOP40 CHARTS WORK...
Basically the Top 40 charts work on a points system. Once your script has been accepted and has a ranking, it loses points for each week it is in the charts if it is not 'active'. A script will gain points (and therefore retain it's position or move upwards in the charts) for every public reading or production. How many points will depend on the number of productions, length of the season, and quality of production (based on reviews). Point totals will determine the new position of the script each month. How many places a script moves may also be affected by the scripts immediately around it as no two scripts can have the same ranking. Scripts in the last 10 places of each list are vulnerable to new scripts entering the Top40 charts. But remember, you will always have a valuable place in Script Squirrel's Sack of Treasure!
