What is it?
An on-line collision between theatre and video. Are you up to the challenge?
Roll everything! One shot, one camera, no cuts or edits. Including the credits!
It’s all about the script, the acting, the direction and the skills of the ‘gun’ camera operator. It’s not about cutting and pasting in the edit suite. 10 minutes maximum.
Heck, they made Russian Ark in one take, didn’t they?
How to go about it...
You’ll need a video camera (doesn’t need to be fancy) and an operator, a script and a cast.
We’ll be canvassing the challenge to proactive film makers, directors, writers and performers. Any one of whom can put together a team.
We’re happy to list these categories of would-be participants on our website (just contact us).
Film makers and performers are of course welcome to write their own scripts, but you may wish to check out the stash at Script Squirrel on this website. Film makers, directors and performers can read these scripts and arrange with the writers’ permission, to film those scripts of interest.
When the film is finished – which should be very quickly indeed, they are uploaded to the web. Eventually you’ll be able to upload directly to our site but till then use You Tube or the like.
